Office Support, Creighton Work Prep Centre

The Creighton Work Prep Centre (CWPC) will assist individuals from the northern region of Saskatchewan who are seeking employment, training and/or careers. The CWPC will provide on-site services to both those who are ready to work and to those needing some basic assistance. SIIT is seeking a qualified individual to fill the office support position.
Duties:
Provide reception functions for the general public and for clients in a professional manner.
Assist clients with forms, the creation of resumes, job searching, and other activities.
Perform office administrative duties such as typing, photocopying, faxing, filing and others as assigned.
Responsible for database maintenance: input and update client data, compile monthly statistics and reports, compile other reports as requested.
Administer and manage the client computers.
Administer and manage the SCOT and CSTS computer safety training systems and assist participants as required.
Assist in the coordination and administration of training programs as requested.
Work closely with other staff to ensure an organized and effective working environment.
Other general duties as outlined by Manager.
Qualifications:
The position requires training and experience in the practice of proper office procedures and methods. This knowledge can be gained from a basic secretarial/office management course combined with at least one year related experience.
Good working knowledge of MS Office including Word, Access, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook.
A pleasant and professional manner is necessary in the daily meeting of the public.
Knowledge of a First Nation language or culture. Ability to speak Cree would be an asset.
Location and Dates: Creighton, SK. Starting date is October 1, 2014.
The position requires a valid drivers license and access to a reliable vehicle. by September 12, 2014.
