Boyd Excavating Ltd is one of the fastest growing companies in the business. We cover almost any industry and apply the same policy to each one: at the end of the day two things need to happen  the customer needs to be happy and everyone needs to go home safe. Since our beginning in 2008 supplying sand and gravel, we have become a diverse company. We now have a large fleet of trucks ranging from tandems to triaxle end dumps, and need to expand our team. We are looking for Class 1A Truck Drivers for year round work. The following are job duties expected of the successful applicant:
Operate and drive primarily Tandem Trucks and Semi Tractors with end dump trailer units
Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
Ensure cargo is secured properly in accordance with safety requirements and follow safety procedures as set out by Boyd Excavating
Communicate with dispatcher, other drivers and customers using communication devices such as 2-way radios and cell phones
May perform emergency roadside repairs
Conduct all duties with courtesy, safety and caution
Possible shift work
Possible out of town work
All other duties as required
The successful applicant will have the following qualifications:
Valid Class 1A license
Clean driver`s abstract
Valid Saskatchewan Construction Orientation Training certificate
Interpersonal skills
Customer Service skills
Excellent problem solving skills
Ability to work independently, but also as a team
Conduct themselves in a professional manner
