Plains Midstream Canada is in the design phase of a new Rail Terminal Facility near Kerrobert, SK. Construction will commence in September 2014 with commissioning scheduled for mid-year 2015. Our Facility will operate 24/7. We are currently looking to fill the position of Supervisor, Rail Loading Operations reporting to the Manager, Kerrobert Rail.
Responsibilities:
Directing safe/timely/efficient loading of oil product onto unit trains within our Kerrobert Facility
Directing activities of all personnel responsible for product loading
Ensuring adherence to safety standards in accordance with company policy/legislated requirements;
Managing tank inventories
Securing/delivering employee training using internal resources/external providers
Performance management
Report preparation
Coordination Company personnel responsible for rail movement and terminal maintenance including quality control personnel
Liaising with contractors/external providers
Being available for after-hours call to deal with Facility issues
Other duties as required to support activities within the Facility
Qualifications:
Prior oil rail terminal or pipeline operations experience in would be an asset
Prior supervisory experience and strong supervisory skills
Strong safety orientation
Strong knowledge of rail car loading and maintenance procedures
Strong knowledge of government regulations relating to oil loading operations
Energetic, well-organized, self-motivated with effective communications skills
Ability to work well under pressure and balance multiple priorities
Solid computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel
Ability to maintain positive working relationships with external organizations, vendors and agencies
Successful candidates will be required to complete a post-offer, pre-employment Drug and Alcohol test
