Position: Purchasing Manager

Location: Oxbow, SK (the unique opportunity of a
big-city job in a small-town setting!)

Responsibilities: Reporting to the Director of
Manufacturing & Operations, the Purchasing
Manager's responsibilities include managing the
Company's vendor and business partner contracts
for the purchasing of steel fabrication
commodities, sale and rental equipment, capital
purchases, supplies, and services. As well, the
successful candidate will monitor the status of
current contracts,working with our Project
Managers to ensure that billing milestones,
contract requirements and all commercial
obligations are met. The majority of this
position's responsibility will be in support of
the fabrication group, with some responsibility
assisting the equipment group with major purchases
as well. This position is managerial with
one direct report, the Purchasing & Logistics
Coordinator.

Qualifications: This position requires background
in the steel fabrication industry or across-the-
table experience with EPCMs and General
Contractors involved with the construction of
projects which have included major steel
components. At least five years of strong and
proven skills in contract writing, interpretation,
negotiating and administration are required.
Diligent attention to detail and follow up are
also required.
