We are seeking a Receptionist. This position provides emergent administration support coverage & reports to the Executive Assistant. Duties include but are not limited to: answering phones, transfer calls & take messages on a daily basis; open & record incoming/outgoing mail & faxes; ensure confidentiality of incoming/outgoing information; photocopy & type letters & documents as required, meet & greet guests/clients in a professional manner & direct them to the appropriate individual or meeting room, ensure that reception area is kept in a neat & orderly fashion; maintain the employees itinerary board. The successful candidate will demonstrate professionalism & consideration to clients, colleagues & First Nation communities by their punctuality & dependability to fulfilling their duties on a daily basis.
Qualifications:
Knowledge of Cree culture & language as well as the political objectives of the member First Nations
Knowlege of the SK Child Welfare Act
Must possess a Certificate in Office Administration from a recognized training institute or the equivalent of training & experience in this field
Must have ability to utilize computer hardware & software applications & other office equipment
Must possess a typing speed of at least 45 wpm
Must demonstrate excellent oral & written communication
Ability to respond clearly & courteously to inquiries from clients, other agencies & co-workers
Must be able to prioritize tasks in an environment with conflicting demands & changing priorities
Must pass security screening & sign an Oath of Confidentiality
Must possess a valid driver's license & access to a reliable vehicle
Willingness to work some evenings & weekends
