Purchaser-Trader Coordinator-Agricultural

Our client has an IMMEDIATE opportunity for Purchaser-Trader Coordinator. Be part of a growing Exporter Innovator in the Agricultural Industry. This position will be based in Saskatoon SK. Responsibilities for the Purchaser-Trader Coordinator are to purchase and trade flax seeds.Maintain and enhance the trust and partnership with existing key customers. Focus on growth and development . Assume accountability for Profit and Loss for procurement. Understand customer needs to create value added solutions.
Experience/Qualifications:
10+ years leading the purchasing function in a complex, preferably agricultural supply, process and trade of Flax seeds.
Experience and ability to develop key accounts and negotiate/communicate effectively
Accomplished negotiator with deep experience
Knowledge in the Ag/Food industry is highly preferred.
Polished presentation and communication skills
Business financial management acumen (ability to understand the cost drivers for each product/process and identify Best Business Practice/benchmark performance)
Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or Trading-Exporting required; advanced degree welcomed
Strong working knowledge of CGC preferred
APICS certification welcomed
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.)
- Membership in the Canadian Institute of Public Purchasing
- Membership in a provincial purchasing management association
