Reporting to the Director, Hydrology and Groundwater Services, an employee in this job will manage the Flow Forecasting and Operations Management unit and will be responsible for forecasting stream flows for internal and external use, and for operation planning of major river systems including the Saskatchewan, QuAppelle, Souris and Churchill rivers.
The successful candidate should possess Degree in Civil Engineering or similar engineering discipline preferably with a Masters Degree in hydrology or water resources engineering; a licence to practice professional engineering from the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan (APEGS), and 10 years of progressively more responsible directly related experience in hydrologic and watershed analysis, and assessment of river, lake and reservoir hydraulics, flood forecasting and structure operations .
