Description

Pinchin West Ltd. is an industry leader providing project management, consulting and training in the areas of environmental site assessment and remediation, occupational health and safety, building science, indoor air quality and hazardous materials management.  

Our Regina office is currently looking for a Technologist to provide support for hazardous material abatement, mould and indoor air quality projects.

Qualifications:  

    Entry Level to 1 year experience
    Certificate or Diploma in Building Construction, Building Sciences, OH&S or a combination of relevant education and experience
    Strong communication and organizational skills with an ability to follow detailed instructions
    Working knowledge of environmental and health and safety legislation/guidelines
    Familiarity with building systems (structure, envelope, HVAC, electrical, plumbing etc.) would be considered an asset
    Excellent technical report writing skills
    Basic drafting (CAD) skills considered an asset
    Reliable personal vehicle required

Responsibilities:

    Conduct site investigations  asbestos, mould, mercury, PCBs, lead etc.
    Conduct field work, including visits to sites and supervise remediation activities  
    Coordinate and supervise sub-contractors
    Conduct air quality assessments, including indoor air and occupational hygiene
    Interpret and analyze sample results in relation to legislative requirements and industry-accepted guidelines and criteria
    Prepare technical reports
    Liaise with clients and sub-contractors
    Develop and maintain positive client relationships

Working Conditions:

    40 hour work week with some flexibility required to work the occasional weekend
    Single days or overnight stays in and out of the city  mileage reimbursement
    Field work approximately 75% (office 25%), subject to change based on project workload
