Description

EVRAZ North America is one of the most diversified steel manufactures in North America. We are seeking a Environmental Data Management Specialist to join our team.Reporting to the Director of Environmental Affairs for Canada.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Managing data acquisition, storage and reporting for compliance with environmental legislation and licenses, and with environmental management system requirements for the EVRAZ Operations in Canada.
Monitoring and performance data acquisition and management and preparation of processed data input required for environmental reporting.
Specialized environmental data analyses on assigned subjects.


Requirements:
Applicants must possess a post-secondary physical sciences degree or technical diploma, (preferably in chemistry or environmental engineering).
5 years related environmental data management experience.
Envionrmental specialization and experience acquired preferably in heavy industry (Steel), government (regulatory) or environmental/engineering consulting required.
Sound knowledge of, and working skill with data-bases and spread-sheets is required.
Knowledge of environmental monitoring and associated issues.

Creative problem-solving skills, coupled with strong organizing and analytical abilities are desirable, as are good interpersonal and communication skills.
