Description

Our family is looking for a special person to to provide before and after school care to our primary school aged sons who have intellectual disabilities.

Ideally we are looking for one person to work both shifts, but are willing to consider applications for either shift one or shift two as described below.

Shift one: Monday to Friday 7:30am-9:30am
Assisting and mentoring children in independent skills (dressing, brushing teeth, preparing breakfast, cleaning up toys, etc) prior to school.
Packing backpacks and walking to school in time for 8:50 am
Return back to house and do any necessary clean up.
Shift two: Monday to Friday 3:30pm-5:30pm
Pick up children from school (dismissal is at 3:37)
Liaison with teacher if needed
Walk home and provide after school care (prepare snack, play games, help with homework/reading, clean up)
Start supper preparation.  

**Paid training and support will be provided.

**Our home is located in downtown Regina so is easily accessible by bus.

Necessary qualifications include:
-Energetic and playful
-Willingness to learn and follow systems that are proven to work well

Preference will be given to applicants with the following qualifications:
-Experience working with children with autism
-Experience in planning childrens programming
-Those with a musical interest.
-Students in the fields of linguistics, speech therapy, music, and drama.
