Description

This position works with people to support community needs and assist in creating opportunities in their sport, culture and recreation efforts.  This individual is expected to be creative, outgoing and be able to work independently to achieve the work of the whole.
Qualifications:
Diploma or Degree in Recreation, Leisure Studies or Kinesiology
At least three years experience working in community recreation or sport, culture and recreation non-profits.
Ability to convey the value of sport, culture and recreation in communities.
Knowledge of the sport, culture, and recreation system in Saskatchewan.
Demonstrated experience in community development processes.
Ability to communicate and work with community members to meet their needs.
Ability to listen, interpret and convey information and opinions of diverse audiences to ensure clarity, conciseness and professionalism, in both verbal and written contexts.
Willingness to share areas of competence with others and willing to accept meaningful contributions of others both within and external to the organization.
Demonstrated experience in planning and delivering programs and services with volunteers and groups.
Good organization and planning skills to work in a progressive environment.
Strategic thinking/problem solving skills with the ability to anticipate upcoming opportunities.
Use innovative approaches to develop supportive systems to measure outcomes for the organization. Commitment to being a team player and working to meet team goals.
Ability to show personal leadership through setting priorities, delegating work and meeting timelines consistently.
Travel outside of home community will be required to attend PVSCRD meetings, programs and events. This will include some overnight travel.
