McKercher LLP, a full service law firm with over 50 lawyers, requires a trained professional to fill a permanent, full-time Legal Assistant position in our Corporate Commercial department in our Saskatoon Office.
The right candidate is a confident and self-motivated individual who thrives in a busy and fast-paced environment and has a proven track record in the corporate commercial area.
The successful applicant must be able to multi-task efficiently and effectively and will be expected to maintain a high level of confidentiality at all times. The ability to prioritize, organize and expedite workflow; coupled with the ability to work in a deadline driven environment is imperative to succeed in this opportunity.
In addition to excellent computer skills, we require a strong client service focus. The successful candidate must have the ability to work as part of a team with our corporate commercial lawyers, other team members and clients.
To be successful in this role, you have:
- graduated from a recognized Legal Assistant program (equivalencies will be considered) and have a minimum of 2 years' experience with corporate and/or real estate law
- excellent proofreading skills and attention to detail
- the ability to meet strict deadlines
- strong computer and communication skills
- exceptional organizational ability
- the ability to work independently, problem solve, follow instructions with minimal supervision, and take initiative
- willingness to learn and contribute to the team
