Job Description
The Area Manager is responsible for providing leadership, direction and support to all stores within the assigned area; typically 4-5 stores. The Area Manager will be responsible to deliver and implement store strategies to a team of Branch Managers and to follow up on results. They will be responsible for ensuring a high level of quality in the execution of policy and procedures. The Area Manager will proactively develop the team through hiring, developing and retaining talent along with developing progression plans and managing performance.

Principal Responsibilities

Ensure that all branches comply with all aspects of Speedy Cash operational policy
Increase revenue by reviewing business with Branch Managers
Implement strategic growth plans with store managers
Regular review/audit of all area branches overdue files
Monitor revenue and expenses
Recruit and retain Branch Managers and associates
Direct and evaluate store operations
Visit each branch at least three times per year to conduct a thorough hands-on inspection with the aim of     ensuring compliance with all company policies and procedures

Qualifications

5+ years or relevant experience at a management level
2-3 years of prior credit/collections experience is preferred
Post - secondary education preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel software applications
Hands-on leader with the ability to influence and interact effectively at all levels
Valid provincial drivers license and your own vehicle is required
Ability to travel on a continual basis to the stores with short notice

Collections experience is an asset
Strong organizational and time management skills
Solid negotiation and conflict resolution abilities
Independent and self-motivated with the ability to multi task and prioritize
Exceptional customer service skills and strong interpersonal skills are required
