Duties:
- Supervise dock activities and employees
- Plan work schedule/loading
- perform freight handling using motorized and manual equipment
- verify documentation matches freight description
- arrange freight to maximize trailer capacity, distribute the weight and secure the contents
- assist customers with freight and freight documentation as required
- verify and complete required documentation and reports
- breakdown and remove internal trailer packing
Qualifications:
- fork truck certified
- ability to count and perform basic math
- basic written and verbal communication skills
- ability to lift various weights
- ability to follow instructions and complete required training
- ability to work independently but also be a team player
