Nature and Scope
The HR Generalist is responsible for organizing, directing, controlling and analyzing the operations of the Human Resource department. Key areas of responsibility include policy and procedure development; human resource planning; labor relations; training and development; recruitment and selection and the analysis and improvement of HR KPIs. In addition to remaining current with all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws and regulations, this role required the individual to adhere to and enforce all established Company policies and procedures. The role further requires the individual to maintain positive relationships between the management team and employees. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.

Qualifications, Experience and Skills
Post Secondary diploma in Human Resources Management
3-5 years Human Resource experience, preferably in a Generalist role
Familiarity with payroll and benefits administration best practices and legislation
Ability to work well under pressure, individually and as part of a team
Strong conflict and resolution and negotiation skills
Self-motivated with a demonstrated ability to work with minimum supervision
Effective written and verbal communication skills as well as presentation skills
CHRP designation or in progress would be considered an asset.
