Description

Louis Dreyfus Commodities  has an opening for a fulltime Process Operator at our Yorkton SK Canola Crushing Facility.

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating equipment for the seed preparation and  process areas of our facility.  The primary function of this job will be to ensure that the processes are operated and controlled in a safe and efficient manner in compliance with government regulations and company standards.  
The successful candidate will be responsible for performing the following primary duties:  
Operates  processing equipment, completes and logs regular checks of equipment to ensure that standard operating procedures are followed. Company standards are met and plant efficiencies are optimized.
Work in an organized, safe, and clean manner, ensuring work area is kept clean and free from all safety hazards.
Responds to equipment issues or alarms; investigates and initiates resolution.
Ensures compliance with Company safety rules and wears proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs) as required in fulfillment of assigned responsibilities.  
Conducts in process quality control tests, enters data into the electronic data system and operates the HMI in the plant.
They will also be responsible for the following secondary duties:
Work with plant management to assist in the smooth operational running of the crush plant
Additional duties include, but not limited to, general  responsibilities in all areas of operations, procurement, quality, health & safety, refinery, transportation, logistics, internal & external maintenance of facility.
Actively participates in Shift/Team activities including complying with best practices, standard operating procedures, development and maintenance and continuous improvement efforts.
Actively participates in job-related training as required.
