Description

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Instrumentation Engineer, Senior located at our Saskatoon, SK office. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to provide support for a wide variety of Instrumentation related functions.
Key Responsibilities
Providing production of Detailed Engineering packages for design of integrated automation systems.  This shall include field instrumentation, distributed control systems, Programmable Logic controllers, and a variety of ancillary systems, including equipment specification, sizing, wiring, configuration design, and production and review of all associated documentation
Providing support for management on instrumentation and automation systems design and installation
Providing trouble-shooting support for DCS/PLC applications and controller tuning
Field construction support, commissioning and start-up
Leading continuous improvement of instrumentation technology and standards, with responsibility for the development and maintenance of long-term plans
Role Requirements
An applicable Engineering/Technology degree with 10 plus years of related experience, Potash experience would be an asset
Excellent interpersonal, planning, organizing, judgment, problem solving, conflict resolution, decision-making and communications skills are essential
Automation system design experience in an industrial setting
Familiar with in-line instruments and instruments associated with rotating and heavy industrial equipment
Familiar with production of instrumentation and controls deliverables, including P&ID development, loop drawings, wiring details, control narratives and scopes of work
Excellent Computer Skills (ie: MS Office and SAP)
Familiarity with DCS, PLCs and industrial networking
