Are you a certified Truck and Transport Mechanic looking for a career change? Do you have a fix it right the first time attitude? Our client is hiring a Truck and Transport Mechanics to join their Peterbilt dealership in Estevan, SK.
Our client owns 55 industrial, commercial, agricultural and transportation equipment dealerships, including four Peterbilt dealerships in Saskatchewan.

Shifts:
5 days a week; Mon-Fri: 7:30am 6:00pm and Sat: 8:00am 4:30pm
Experience:
o A minimum of 6 years of experience in a trucking dealership
o Experience in computer diagnostics and current emission systems
Education:
o Truck & Transport Journeyperson certification
o Truck Inspector certification
o Trainings/certifications in engines (Cummins), emissions (Cummins), Diagnostics
Skills and Abilities:
Ability to complete repair order annotation on each job
Duties and Responsibilities:
o Assemble and install customer additions including, rear fenders, lights and headache racks
o Perform customer, OEM and government inspections on vehicles
o Accurately record all work done for customer and warranty records
o Diagnose and repair all related systems on transport trucks. This includes all electronic, diesel engine, manual and automated transmission, front and rear suspension, electrical, driveline, HVAC, hitch and cab/interior
o Perform preventative maintenance such as fluid and various filter changes, testing of batteries, adjustments to brake system and clutch components and lubricating moving parts of equipment
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.)
- Truck and Transport Mechanic Trade Certification
Truck Mechanic Specific Skills
- Perform scheduled maintenance service
- Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer's specifications
- Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck systems
- Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of truck-trailer systems
Automotive Service Technician Specific Skills
- Advise customers on work performed and future repair requirements
- Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of automotive systems
- Perform scheduled maintenance service
- Road test motor vehicles and test automotive systems and components
- Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer's specifications
