Description

Reporting to the Chief Sales and Marketing Officer, this position plays a key role in business growth for all Gardewine services with a focus on Saskatchewan.  Through the identification of key business opportunities you will undertake hands-on sales activities leading to business growth and service efficiencies.  Primarily days, Monday to Friday this position requires after hours flexibility to meet varying customer and business requirements.

Job Duties:
    Develop, implement and manage sales / marketing activities and related functions.
    Provide sales and business development presence for all Gardewine services including general freight, dedicated, deck, bulk, and logistics throughout Saskatchewan.
    Develop and initiate plans for new markets and to meet current business requirements.
    Achieve maximum growth and profitability in line with business targets.
    Work with operational areas to develop business sector and customer specific sales solutions.  
    Assist the Traffic Department with development of rate and service packages.
    Provide direct contact with clients to present rate and service packages to new and existing customers.
    Provide enhanced relationships with business clients and internal stakeholders.
    Communicate customer needs and requests to operational and administrative areas.
    Develop goals; maintain sales records and reports for all business sectors.
    Provide after sales support to customers as needed.  Ensure customer support mechanisms are in place and communicated.

Qualifications:
    Demonstrated experience in general freight sales, service, or related area.
    A self-starter with strong business relationship building skills.
    Knowledge of freight rate development preferred.
    Knowledge of freight movement coordination and logistics in the LTL transportation or comparable industry.
    Able to set and reach sales targets focusing on key business requirements.
