Job Summary:
Reporting to the Chief Information Officer of Information Systems department, this position will provide ongoing clinical requirement of the regional electronic health records whose vendor may change according to the provincial direction
Experience:
Business process design
Working with health care computer software
Additional Information:
Current knowledge of clinical best practice for appropriate clinical areas where the implementation of electronic health records is occurring.
Attendance at on-site training as required by the vendors and as approved by eHealth in a variety of locations including international sites.
Obtains on-line training for any additional functional modules as required by the project
Obtains through self-study, a detailed level knowledge of the functionality of the Electronic Health Record applications.
Obtains through self-study, familiarity with the configuration of the Electronic Health Record application.
Strong interpersonal, facilitation, and customer service skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrates ability to lead facilitation sessions with clinical groups
Demonstrates ability to lead change management processes linking information technology and clinical practice.
Demonstrates continual professional improvement.
Qualifications:
-Bachelors Degree in Nursing
-Current active practicing member in good standing with the Saskatchewan Registered Nurses Association
A minimum of 10 years working in a health care delivery setting A post-secondary degree in a related discipline or equivalent education and experience. In depth understanding of all aspects of health care delivery. This includes but is not limited to Emergency, Acute Care, Registration, Health Records, Laboratory, Diagnostic Imaging, Pharmacy, Home Care, and Long Term Care.
