The successful candidate will have an undergraduate degree with a minimum of two (2) years directly related experience and/or related combination of education and experience. The successful candidate must be prepared to travel extensively throughout the year, as well as work evenings and weekends as required.
The Academic Advisor will Provide academic advising and monitoring for students from entry to completion; advise students about academic requirements and selection of courses; review, update and maintain students academic programs and advising activity; Provide degree plans for core, major and transfer students; evaluate and determine transfer of credits; Assist students with career exploration; provide recruitment and outreach services to students to include providing financial aid and scholarship guidance and assistance; Initiate and maintain communication both internally and externally to the University to collect, update, and disseminate information on programs and requirements, policies, procedures and resources; Provide proactive and timely outreach, referrals and intervention with students through a variety of communication methods; engage in referral services for students to both internal and external organizations.
