Description

As a leader in the livestock feed industry, and recognized as one of the top global animal health companies in the world, our client is searching for an Operations Manager for their Saskatoon organization.
You will be required to oversee the production process; ensure that all standard operations procedures and policies are adhered to and that the highest quality has been maintained. The Operations Manager will supervise product delivery; ensuring all products are delivered in a timely and efficient manner. At a branch level, the successful candidate will work alongside the head office personnel in analyzing financial statements and assist preparing annual operational budgets, forecasting for capital projects, maintenance, and staffing.
The Operations Manager will work towards accomplishing the goals and objectives set out in the business plan and will work with the members of management to resolve any differences from the plan. This individual will work closely with production, planning, purchasing, maintenance and sales to provide a continuous and quality oriented production flow. He/she will bring a strong knowledge base, previous operation management experience and a bushel of common sense to the organization. A large part of the daily overview is continuing the commitment to the quality of the operations and the most valuable asset, people! The ideal candidate will bring their practical experience to the Operations role. Once up and running, the individual will be allowed to implement their own suitable management style, and work autonomously. Along with a "common sense" approach, you will add value to the team by having the ability to manage and motivate, train and educate, lead by example, supervise and coach, all within an organized workplace.
