Qualifications:
** Must have a minimum of ECE Level 1, a current Criminal Record Check and First Aid/CPR.
** Current TB test
** Work with children with Special needs/medical needs
** Able to program for a group of children
** Must be willing to continue taking ECE Classes
Duties:
* Conduct andmonitor activity programs designed for young children
* To care for children 18 months - 12 years
* Provide opportunity for creative expression through the mediums of art, dramatic play, and music
* Arrange transition periods such as lunch and rest for children
* Observe children and report on observation to supervisor
Essential Skills
- Working with others
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.)
- First Aid Certificate
Early Childhood Education Skills
- Provide opportunity for creative expression through the mediums of art, dramatic play and music
- Provide supervision and guidance of daily activities, field trips and special activities
Early Childhood Educator Assistant Skills
- Prepare craft materials and assist children to use them
- Guide children in development of proper eating, dressing and toilet habits
- Discuss progress and problems of children at staff meetings
- Conduct and monitor activity programs designed for young children
- Arrange transition periods such as lunch and rest for children
