The Role
Perform minor and major repairs, servicing and up fitting on all types of vehicles, (cars, light, medium and heavy trucks and truck/truck trailers), including mounted vehicle attachments (cranes, hirail, gensets, etc.) and material handling equipment.
Responsibilities
Use electric and oxy-acetylene welding equipment and other vehicle repair tools to perform repairs.
Record details on prescribed forms in accordance with established procedures.
Perform duties in-shop, with outside work at terminals and in the field.
Other related duties as assigned.
Working Conditions:
Shop environment with outside work at terminals and in the field.
Occasional extended stay away from home when performing field work.
Employment Requirements:
Must be capable of certifying company equipment in accordance with Provincial/Regulatory standards.
Required to pass Company's A Mechanic's test and be able to operate all types of vehicles and equipment serviced in the garage.
Valid driver's license, non-restricted.
Required to pass a company medical exam.
Must have own basic hand tools sufficient to perform repairs and servicing all types of fleet equipment.
Must possess Truck and Transport Service Technician license.
