Canadian Energy Services (http://canadianenergyservices.com/, S&P/TSX Symbol CEU) is a leading independent drilling fluids provider in North America. PureChem Services (http://purechemservices.com/) is a new, fast-growing division of CES providing products to the Drilling Fluids, Production Chemical, Stimulation and Fracturing industries.

We are expanding our lab staff to support our continued rapid growth. The PureChem Services lab is the newest and one of the best equipped labs in the industry supporting manufacturing in a new state-of-the-art blending facility. We are located in Carlyle, SK along with our Moose Mountain Mud and Equal Transport divisions. Enjoy small town living with easy access to major centers while working in a state-of-the-art laboratory. Our lab is equipped with: ICP, FTIR, GC, Fluorescence spectrometer, Brookfield viscometers, as well as a full range of new equipment.
Working in a fast-paced dynamic environment, the duties of the Laboratory Chemist/Technician may include:
    QC testing of raw materials and products
    Analytical testing
    Report writing
    Trouble-shooting of technical problems
    Field testing and support
    R&D of new products
    Making and testing lab batches of new and
        existing products
    Bench testing of field samples
    Technical support for our full product
        range

Qualifications include:
    BSc or postsecondary education in chemistry, petrochemical, or related disciplines. Graduate degree (MSc or PhD) an asset. Several years of focused lab and/or field technical experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
    Previous experience in Production  
        Chemicals, Drilling Fluids, or Fracturing
        Fluids an asset.
    Demonstrated ability to work in a
        dynamic, fast-paced environment.
    Excellent interpersonal, written, and
        verbal communication skills.
    Experience with MS Excel and Word.
    Strong statistical analysis skills.
    Eligible to work in Canada
