Description

The Co-op Refinery Complex (CRC) located in Regina, Saskatchewan is one of the largest petroleum refining facilities in the country. We have a 79-year history of fueling the economic growth and prosperity of Western Canada.

Our team of 900-plus employees manufactures and supplies high quality petroleum products to our 235 member-owned retail co-operatives and their 1.5 million individual members and other customers from Vancouver Island to northwestern Ontario.

We are currently looking for a Unit Operations Engineer, to join our Process department management team. Unit Operations Engineers perform technical support tasks related to the operation of assigned units.  This includes monitoring unit operations, providing technical assistance and direction to Process Operators, communicating with other departments on operational changes, coordinating with maintenance to ensure safe and reliable operation, and establishing specifications with Planning & Scheduling to provide quality products for the Co-operative Retailing System. 24-hour availability for technical consultation and to assist with operational issues may be required.

The minimum qualifications required by this position will be gained through a degree in Chemical Engineering or related discipline coupled with 4-6 years experience in petroleum refining or related industry. Membership in the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan (APEGS) as a Professional Engineer is required.
