Description

The Department of Academic Family Medicine in the College of Medicine is recruiting a certified family physician for the Regina Unit.  The focus of this position is on undergraduate medical education in Family Medicine and will help to further develop and integrate Family Medicine teaching into the curriculum of second, third and fourth year medical students.  The responsibilities of this position include both the Pre-clerkship and Clerkship Coordinator roles for the Regina site.  This five year term faculty member will be responsible for the implementation of the pre-clerkship curriculum at the Regina site, administration and organization of the clerkship rotation and would support and mentor family physician facilitators and teachers of Family Medicine in Regina in conjunction with the Department.  
This academic position will have the following assignment of duties:  Teaching and Academic Services-40%; Leadership and Administration-20%; Clinical Service-30% and Research-10%.
The Regina Unit is located in the Regina Centre Crossing Primary Health Care site.  A community based primary health care facility providing a team environment to support academic scholarship and clinical work of medical residents and students.
