Carry the Kettle First Nation (CTK) is seeking a Finance Administrator to ensure the security, integrity and effectiveness of all financial operations, financial management and accounting activities and processes, while maintaining the successful leadership of the Financial Information Strategy process. You will develop, improve financial policies, systems plans & priorities & make recommendations for improved financial management & operational efficiency & effectiveness.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must possess either one of the following (C.M.A., C.A.F.M., C.G.A., C.A.)or degree in Business Administration specializing in Finance or a combination of the above with a minimum of 5 years of work specific experience;
- Possess significant knowledge of legislation in the following areas (Indian Act, Financial Administration Act and Regulations, Treasury Board and Receiver General financial policies, Access to Information and Privacy Act and other relevant band legislation policies, regulations and procedures);
- Possess knowledge and working experience of financial reporting requirements for INAC;
- Strong planning, organizing and monitoring skills;
- Strong team work and cooperation skills;
- Strong initiative and stress management skills;
- Strong effective communication skills (oral and writing) and interpersonal skills;
- Possess knowledge and work experience with computers, i.e., office software applications i.e., ACCPAC, Dbase, QuickBooks, Excel, Quattro Pro, (Excel and Word/MS Office);
- Possess knowledge of First Nation programs and several funding agencies;
- Possess good understanding of First Nation cultures, traditions, roles and responsibilities of Chief and Council and work well with Chief, Council, Band Staff and community members;
- Possess Valid Driver's License;
- Must pass a current Criminal Record Check.
