Description

SaskPower is currently searching for an experienced and qualified individual to prepare and negotiate contracts in the capacity of paralegal or contract specialist, and perform supervisory and administrative functions of a confidential nature.  The Manager, Law Project Management and Support will work with lawyers, legal support staff, and other employees within the Corporation; and communicate with external parties as required; and assist in the effective functioning of SaskPowers Law department.

Using your experience, you will review and create routine legal documents with minimal instruction, and/or support the lead lawyers work in the area of corporate/commercial law.  You will perform legal research as required and oversee maintenance of filing systems and legal databases. You will provide leadership and supervision to legal support staff in the Law department.  You will also assist in the preparation of reports and other documents as required by the Vice-President, Law, Land & Regulatory Affairs.

Successful applicants will have:
A minimum of:
  oTen years of experience as a legal assistant or paralegal andor
  oSix years of experience as a contract specialist
Extensive experience with corporate/commercial legal transactions
Ability to read and interpret legal documents, and to write reports and correspondence,
Excellent communication skills (written/oral) combined with research and analytical skills,
Outstanding skills in using Microsoft Office and legal research software,
Team player, detailed oriented, results driven, client-focused.
