Loraas Environmental Services Ltd. in North Battleford is currently looking to fill the position of 4th/3rd Year Apprentice Heavy Duty/Truck and Transport Mechanic. If you are looking for a great local company with challenging opportunities this position may be for you!
Duties:
- Responsible for ongoing maintenance & repair of equipment, both mobile & stationary.
- Hands on troubleshooting, repair, adjustment, overhaul, and maintenance of trucks and heavy equipment used in waste hauling operations, and commercial trash compaction equipment and balers.
- Dealing with breakdowns in the shop, on the road, and at customer sites.
Qualifications:
- 3rd year or above Heavy Duty/ Truck and Transport Mechanic Apprentice or Journeyman, farm background or experience with heavy equipment an asset.
- Full set of hand tools required.
- Wide experience in hydraulic and electrical systems is essential.
- Experience in electronic and pneumatic control systems, diagnostics on control systems hardware & software problems.
- Team environment but capable of working independently.
- Minimum valid Class 5 driver's license with acceptable abstract required. Class 3A/1A license is an asset.
- As a condition of employment, all new employees to safety sensitive positions must successfully pass a substance test within a two week period of their hiring date. A criminal record check will also be required.
