Restaurant Bar Supervisor - (Expression of Interest)  Internal
Position ID: J0714-0706

Education
Successful completion of a 1 year diploma or certificate in a related field (Hospitality, Restaurant/Bar Management, Business, Bartending etc.) or a combination of relevant education, training and/or experience. Successful completion of a Food Safe Certificate.


Experience
Candidates will have 3 years experience in food and beverage operations and experience assisting with recruitment, training and coaching staff while in a supervisor role.

Knowledge
Knowledge of SIGA's guiding principles, structure, and First Nations culture.
Working knowledge of food and beverage operations, including health and safety, scheduling, departments (restaurant, bar, deli), and supervision.
Knowledge of safe food handling practices.

Main Duties
Reporting to the Restaurant/Bar Coordinator, this position ensures that Casino guests enjoy exceptional customer service, and quality, value priced dining, by supervising front-of-house staff and activities. Responsibilities include: Supervising Casino restaurant operations, with particular attention to maintaining the highest levels of guest relations. Communicating policies, procedures and standards to staff. Monitoring and verifying accuracy of staff cash handling. Assisting department management with staffing and performance management. Carrying out a wide variety of administrative tasks. Distributing and revising staff schedules to meet operational needs and control costs. Designating, assigning, and overseeing work assignments and breaks in a fair and equitable manner. Participating in other projects and activities as required, to ensure the smooth operating of the restaurant and bar.
