SIAST Faculty Association  Office Manager

This full-time position reports to the President and Executive Council, and is responsible for organizing and coordinating office operations and procedures, in order to ensure organizational effectiveness and efficiency.

POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Office Management:
    Providing administrative support to the President and Executive Council to ensure that SFA operations are maintained in an effective, timely and accurate manner.

    Managing all aspects of the office, including:  maintaining office standards, policies and procedures, supervising the duties of the office assistant, processing and preparing correspondence, newsletters, meeting documents, reports, etc.

    Handling of all office and financial documentation, filing systems, databases and records.

    Assisting in the preparation of documentation for Arbitration, Labour Relation Board headings and collective bargaining.

    Ensuring office supplies are maintained and that office is functioning effectively and efficiently.

    Other general administrative or management duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS


A.         Education / Experience
Office management, administrative, human resources, labour and/or legal organizations experience and/or qualifications would be an asset.

B.    Skills
The incumbent must demonstrate the following skills:

    Excellent interpersonal skills.
    Analytical and problem solving skills.
    Decision making skills.
    Effective verbal, listening and written communications skills.
    Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
    Computer skills including the use of spreadsheets, word processing programs, and e-mail at a highly proficient level.


    Salary commensurate with experience and qualifications.
