Position Purpose:
Kitchen Designers are responsible for providing friendly and courteous customer service by qualifying customers for kitchen design consultation, providing quotes and providing product options. The Kitchen Designer facilitates the smooth and efficient processing of all kitchen department custom orders and install sales until the customer is satisfied. Kitchen Designers use strong customer relationship skills, superior product expertise, and advanced project knowledge to provide a differentiated experience to drive sales and provide a great customer experience.
Position Responsibilities:
- Being responsible for Total department Kitchen sales
- Prospecting and engaging kitchen and countertop customers
- Providing showroom tours and setting customers up for kitchen measures
- Meeting with customers to discuss their project and provide sales presentations
- Quote conversion
- Driving cabinet re-facing appointments
- Qualifying customers for design consultation, providing quotes and product options
Experience/Knowledge Required:
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
- Knowledge of and adherence to Home Depot policies and procedures
- Proven ability to close the sale
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Strong computer skills; knowledge of 20/20 Kitchen Design System
- Demonstrated knowledge of construction and the ability to read blueprints and floor plans
- Knowledge of Kitchen and Bathroom cabinets
- Strong knowledge of all store products both in stock and available through special order
- Excellent reading, communication & math skills
- Kitchen design experience, knowledge of norms and building codes
- Technical skills and product knowledge to quote on kitchen installations and countertops
