Description

Working within a Supportive Apartment Living environment for pregnant and post partum women struggling with addiction issues, the Program Support Workers will provide 24 hour on site supervision and supports to residents guided by the principles of harm reduction.  Support services will include assisting parents to develop parenting and life skills, assisting women in connecting with other relevant community resources and programming, assisting families to develop written support and safety plans, teaching family skills that address the crisis they are facing, and providing transportation to appointments and programming.  Previous experience working within a group home setting is an asset.  Please indicate your knowledge of  women and substance abuse issues, pre and post natal care, and harm reduction.  A combination of education and experience will be considered.
