Description

As the Manager, you will provide HR expertise and support to SaskWater and guidance to executive management ensuring a timely and effective response to HR issues.  You will lead the research, development, implementation and maintenance of a HR strategy that supports SaskWaters strategic plan and promotes harmonious relationships, and you will lead the corporate labour relations responsibilities. In addition, you will lead the human resources unit and manage a variety of functional areas including corporate workforce planning and recruitment, management and union job classification and performance management systems, employee training and development, employee recognition, disability management, and benefit plan oversight.

You will have a BBA or BComm. specializing in Human Resources and you will have a Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation.  In addition, you will have 8 years of progressively more responsible experience of a generalist nature in strategic planning, labour relations/collective bargaining negotiations, employment policy and program development, workforce planning/recruitment, employee relations, job evaluation/compensation systems, performance management systems, and employee recognition programs, together with a working knowledge of Human Resource Management Systems.    

You are a confident, conscientious and well organized individual who promotes harmonious and positive relationships. You are committed to delivering work on time, within budget and as specified, while balancing corporate and individual needs. You are also an articulate communicator and an active listener who strives to understand the underlying elements influencing peoples behavior.

A valid Saskatchewan drivers licence is required.

Special Requirements:  The position requires the incumbent to undergo a Criminal Record Check.
