Senior Technologist, Instrumentation & Electrical Systems- Regina or Saskatoon

As the Senior Technologist, Instrumentation & Electrical Systems, you will supervise and/or undertake the electrical and instrumentation operation and maintenance components of district water and wastewater systems.  These systems include a diverse complement of treatment plants, pumping stations, distribution pipelines and other related works that vary in size, complexity, technology and operation.  You will, at times, be required to work standby.

To qualify, you have at least six years previous related experience with a thorough knowledge of design, installation, operation, manufacturing and maintenance of electrical and industrial control equipment and power, mechanical and HVAC systems used in water and wastewater systems and the ability to create new and modify existing PLC and HMI programs to optimize and enhance control systems to improve efficiency in the control systems.

You have your Diploma in Instrumentation Engineering Technology or Electrical/ Electronics Engineering Technology and/or Journeyman status with related controls experience.  You also have your certification with Saskatchewan Applied Science Technologists and Technicians (SASTT) as an Applied Science Technologist (A.Sc.T.); and Journeyman Electrician status as granted by the Saskatchewan Apprenticeship and Trade Certification Commission.

You have sound communication skills with the ability to foster and maintain positive working relationships, both internally and externally.

Special Requirements:  The position requires the incumbent to undergo a Criminal Record Check.

A valid Saskatchewan drivers licence is required.
