The Program Manager oversees all aspects of the development, implementation, and management of the Transition to Trades Program. Transition To Trades is an employment training program for youth ages 18 to 29 based in North Central. Participants spend half their time in the classroom developing their life skills and workplace certificates and the balance of their time with construction instructors on worksites.
The ideal candidate would work collaboratively with program staff and an advisory committee to achieve the program goals of supporting youth to gain full-time employment.
Responsibilities
Administrate and manage the program
Manage five program staff
Promotion of program with public, construction industry, and funders
Proposal and grant writing
Track and record program outcomes
Manage program budget and work with accountant to maintain financial systems
Providing reports to Board of Directors and funders
Qualifications
Degree in Business Admin, Social Work, Social Sciences, or equivalent
3 years experience in management and supervision
Experience with grant proposal writing and reporting
Good written and oral communication skills
Strong ability with Microsoft Office Word and Excel
Knowledge of North Central Neighbourhood
Knowledge of Construction industry
Understanding of youth culture, addictions, housing/homelessness, and poverty
Possess a valid drivers license and vehicle in good working order
Can provide criminal record check
Salary: 50000 to 56000 annually depending on experience
Hours: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM and occasional evenings
Location: 1459 Retallack St, Regina SK
Term: 6 month contract with opportunity to renew
