Reporting to the Regional Manager of Human Resources Services
Required Qualifications: Degree/Certificate in Humane Resources, Disability Management or Occupational Health & Safety is preferred
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Ability to analyze complex situations and environments and produce workable and practical solutions
Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with many individuals and groups including staff, students, unions and the general public
Ability to maintain confidentiality in dealing with employee information
Advance computer skills
Demonstrated ability to deal effectively in a variety of situations, maintaining fairness and diplomacy in dealing with employees and supervisors
Excellent organizational abilities
Exceptional public speaking and presentation skills
Good knowledge of health & safety programs and legislation, incumbent will be required to keep current in developments in this area
Knowledge of applicable Collective Agreements (SUN, CUPE, HSAS) as they pertain to disability management
Knowledge of negotiation and conflict management techniques and methods
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Working knowledge of applicable legislation (OH&S, WCB, Labour Standards, Human Rights, HIPA)
