Reporting to the Director, Resource Development, the successful candidate is responsible for ensuring our build sites have sufficient volunteers and to ensure a productive, fun and fulfilling experience for volunteers.
Working with Build Project Manager, Construction Manager and Site Supervisor to determine volunteer requirements for each build day.
Schedule volunteers to accommodate the needs on the build.
Managing the on-line registration program for registration of volunteers
Ensure all volunteers have completed appropriate forms.
Hosting volunteers on build site, greeting them in the morning, providing coffee and snack as well as lunch.
Procurement of snack and lunch donations from volunteers and local businesses.
Coordinate snacks for coffee breaks and lunches for volunteers on build site each day.
Communicate with volunteers, ensuring they continue to be engaged and informed of activity and impact of Habitat for Humanity Regina.
Create and maintain files of all daily sign in sheets, waiver and release forms and safety certificates provided by volunteers
Maintain accurate records of all volunteers in database.
Develop and implement a volunteer recruitment drive in a timely manner, should volunteer numbers not be sufficient to meet demand.
Ensure all new volunteers receive all pertinent information regarding volunteering and expectations/requirements of build day.
Attend various events promoting volunteer opportunities at Habitat for Humanity Regina.
Qualifications:
Experience working with volunteers.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong computer skills (MS Office).
Well organized, detail-oriented person.
Comfortable working with the public on a daily basis.
Experience working with a volunteer/donor database an asset.
Drivers license and car required.
