Associated Mining Construction Inc. (AMC) is a rapidly growing organization with many opportunities for career growth and enrichment.  We offer competitive compensation and benefit packages and are currently accepting Hoist Mechanic applications for current opportunities throughout Saskatchewan.

The primary role of the Hoist Mechanic is to repair and maintain hoists.  Our successful candidate must be able to assemble, install, test and maintain operating systems and components of machinery.

Responsibilities
Repair and maintain hoists, machinery and hydraulic components from drawings
Ensure that assigned tasks are completed in a safe manner, with all designated safety equipment according to procedures and policies, within allotted times
Ensure the safety of personnel
Enforce safety programs and ensure a safe and healthy working environment
Comply with federal and provincial acts and regulations, and legal requirements
Priorize tasks, and clearly report details of work completion

Requirements
Successful completion of a post-secondary institution in a mechanical-related program, or have acquired qualifications of the trade by progressively advancing through an apprenticeship program in order to become certified
3+ years experience in a heavy industrial field is required, preferably in a mining environment
Competent ability to work with hydraulics and comfortable working on hoists

Additional Information
This posting is for a camp based opportunity. Our typical employee works a 20 days on, 10 days off rotational schedule, although this schedule may differ depending on future project needs.
Flights to and from site are provided for non local hires.
