Description

Associated Mining Construction Inc. (AMC) is a rapidly growing organization with many opportunities for career growth and enrichment.  We offer competitive compensation and benefit packages and are currently accepting Deckman applications for current opportunities throughout Saskatchewan.

Responsibilities Include:
Controlling access to the headframe.
Getting the line up from the supervisor, following up on the days activities and ensuring that the necessary materials are available as required.
Loading the bucket safely with the required material.
Checking all slings and rigging for any deficiencies or damage.
Ensuring that any material being slung is slung properly, including that the proper sling, size and positioning is done.
Dumping muck buckets.
Housekeeping in the headframe.
Controlling traffic in the headframe.
Barricading as required.
Ensuring proper operation of the safety doors.
Signaling clearly to the hoistman.
Maintaining communication with the hoistman.
Monitoring subcontractor work areas within the headframe.

Who You Are:
1 - 2 years related experience as a surface mine labourer/Deckman
Experience working in a safety sensitive environment
Excellent communication skills

Additional Information:
This posting is for a camp based opportunity. Our typical employee works a 20 days on, 10 days off rotational schedule, although this schedule may differ depending on future project needs.
Monday to Friday rotations may be available for local hires.
Flights to and from site are provided for non local hires.
