Reporting to the Market Research Manager, responsibilities for this position include the following:
1.    Gather and analyse relevant internal business data in the development of Retail Market Analysis reports for submission to retails and CRS Managers.
2.    Gather and analyse relevant external market data using secondary data resources and licensed software in the development of Retail Market Analysis for submission to retails and CRS Managers.
3.    Utilize GIS software to prepare visual maps in support of strategic organizational initiatives.
4.    Monitor and build competitive intelligence data by commodity line through the search and review of publicly available data.  Work collaboratively with CRS managers to gather information.  
5.    Support department primary research initiatives through the provision of relevant secondary data.
6.    Liaise with internal partners and third party consultant to generate reports based on third party data used to assess new locations in targeted markets.

Qualifications:
The preferred candidate will hold a Bachelors degree in business, economics, land economy, human geography, planning or a related discipline along with 3-5 years relevant work experience.  Alternatively, a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered.
