Purpose:
The purpose of this position is to develop, coordinate and deliver the Kids on the Block pilot project in Regina to educate children ages 5-12 about bullying, physical abuse and sexual abuse.
Duties:
Developing and implementing pilot program delivery model
Recruiting, training and supporting puppeteers
Developing resources and support materials to accompany presentations
Developing and implementing follow up processes, evaluation plans
Building relationships with local schools and service providers
Establishing a process for response to disclosures of abuse
Developing a plan for program sustainability
Required Skills and Experience:
Knowledge and understanding of interpersonal violence and abuse, school based programming and community based service delivery.
Proven success in project development and implementation.
Ability to work independently, manage time and meet deadlines.
Grant writing and resource development experience.
Interpersonal and relationship skills including written and verbal communications.
Experience with volunteer recruitment, development and management
Competence with technology including Microsoft Office and social media
