Description

We are currently looking to fill the position of Plant Manager, Seed/Agriculture Sector, located 30 minutes outside of Lloydminster; gas allowance will be included after 6 months.  This is a full time position with regular working hours of 8 a.m.  5 p.m., Monday to Friday, along with the odd Saturday.   Starting salary is $25 - $30/hour (including benefits) depending on experience/knowledge; there is a very strong potential for salary growth depending on work ethic.  

The successful individual will:

Be a handyman  Jack/Jill-of-all-trades
Experience with welding, electrical, machine operating, maintenance, some tech knowledge
Trouble shooter
Ability to fix anything or supervise those fixing thus must have the knowledge base
Proactive, preventative maintenance
Supervise a minimum of 3 others, plant operators, truck driver
Be patient, double understanding of staff
Have good communication skills
Grain agriculture background/experience/education an asset
Understanding of seeds is an asset
Must be able to handle heights and have no allergies to grain dust
Be able to work as part of a team
In and out doors all day
Highly adaptable/flexible to changing logistics/processes/schedules and be able to anticipate results of change
Very little paperwork/documentation  perhaps the odd data entry
Ability to multi-task
Experience in agriculture, seed cleaning plant, and grain milling is a very strong asset however will have to learn/understand the facilities on site even though this is a supervisory role
