SIIT is looking for qualified instructor to teach the SIIT Residential Renovation & Construction Program (RRAC) at the Mosquito First Nation, Saskatchewan. The twelve-week program is scheduled to begin September 8, 2014 and will run until November 28, 2014.

Duties:
Instruct RRAC students as set out in the curriculum, both in the classroom and shop setting
Promote the development of appropriate work/study habits, including punctuality which is needed to sustain suitable employment in the construction industry
Evaluate and record each students workmanship
Facilitate testing as required
Maintain the daily attendance sheet and report any absenteeism to the immediate supervisor
Adhere to SIIT Policies and Procedures

Qualifications:
Journeyperson Carpenter Certification preferred, plus extensive experience in the construction industry
Well developed interpersonal and communication skills  
Previous formal instructing experience
A valid drivers license and access to a reliable vehicle
Knowledge of a First Nations language or culture would be considered an asset
