SLGA is seeking a temporary Liquor Store Manager in Melfort until August 1, 2015 with the possibility of extension. Reporting to the Regional Director, Liquor Store Managers actively participate as an integral part of the SLGA management team and carry out SLGA initiatives in larger liquor stores. They are responsible for managing the activities associated with the operation of a liquor store including providing excellent service to a variety of customers such as commercial permittees, franchises and the general public. They establish objectives and prepare a store operating budget on an annual basis. They manage and supervise store employees including hiring, evaluating, coaching, providing feedback, documenting employee work performance and taking required action, for example, employee discipline. Liquor Store Managers are responsible for managing product inventory, cash accounting and cash register operations and preparing related records. They market, merchandise and retail beverage alcohol products including interacting with beverage alcohol industry representatives. They ensure the safety of employees and guard against losses.
