Description

Position Summary:
Under the general supervision of the Chief and Council, the Executive Director is the senior non-political executive officer of LLRIB. This position is responsible for developing, recommending and implementing approved policies for the efficient and effective day-to-day operations of LLRIB programs and services. The ideal candidate will have experience managing similar organizations. This position requires extensive knowledge of the organizational, managerial and administrative functions of LLRIB.
The ideal candidate should have strong organizational and interpersonal communication skills in order to establish collaborative working relationships with other agencies and corporations, governments (federal, provincial and municipal governments, as well as the AFN, FSIN, PAGC and individual First Nations) and other stakeholders.

Qualifications:
- Minimum of Bachelor's Degree in Administration or the Social Sciences is required; Masters Degree or equivalent is preferred; A combination of education and experience will be considered;
- Must have a minimum of 10 years experience directly related to Management;
- Must be very professional and serve as a leading role model to all Band employees;
- Strong understanding of organizational behaviour structure and design;
- Excellent writing, research and planning skills;
- Demonstrated effective policy analysis, critical/analytical thinking skills, exceptionally strong technical knowledge and ability to express ideas clearly;
- Ability to network and develop collaborative working relationships;
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills;
- Ability to speak and understand Woodland Cree is a definite asset;
- Driver's license, provide own vehicle
