Auction Assistant
McDougall Auctioneers Ltd. is a family owned and operated Auction Business that has been in operation for over 30 years. We are growing and are looking for an energetic person to become our Auction Assistant.
FT Position to start ASAP:
- Looking for a mature, friendly, and organized person to start approximately July 28 to fill the position of Auction Assistant
- Hours will be 8:00 a.m. 5:00 p.m. Monday-Friday with a 1 hour lunch and occasional Tuesday evenings/Saturdays upon request; overtime may be required as needed.
Job Description & Responsibilities:
- Assisting with Off-site sales calls
- Assisting with Off-site inventory, including viewing & release days
- Lotting/listing/picturing items for auction
- Assisting with set-up for Live Auctions
- Other duties as required, such as assisting in Warehouse & Customer Service
Requirements:
- Valid SK Drivers licence required
- Ability to drive forklift/skidsteer an asset
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills and the ability to demonstrate these
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail
- Some physical labor required
- Ability to cope with pressure and deadlines
- Self-motivated with an ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Flexible to adapt to ever changing situations that arise
- Experience using Microsoft Word/Excel and the ability to learn new computer programs
