DESCRIPTION
Qualifications:
-    A combination of training and or experience to fulfill the responsibilities of this position;
-    Four or more years of previous experience as a brick layer and or stone mason in a residential or commercial construction environment;
-    Knowledge of material, methods, tools, equipment use in this trade;
-    Capable of working on a scaffold to height of 10 meters;
-    Able to life and move objects weighing up to 30 kg;
-    Must be able to communicate in English.
Responsibilities:
-    Erect scaffolding and ladders for application of materials to structures above ground level;
-    Read sketches and blueprints to calculate materials required;
-    Install specified insulation to exterior surfaces according to blueprint specifications;
-    Install guide wires to indicate thickness of materials to be used and nail wire mesh, lath, and brick ties to hold materials in place;
-    Mix mortar to desired consistency or direct others to perform mixing;
-    Cut and trim bricks, concrete blocks, and stone to construct of repair walls and other structures in residential and or commercial structures;
-    Lay bricks or other masonry units to build residential fireplaces;
-    Lay bricks or other masonry units to build patios, garden walls and other decorative installation;
-    Wear person safety equipment required for specific tasks;
-    Clean and keep in good repair all construction tools and equipment.
