Description

Reporting to the Retail Accounting Supervisor, the Senior Accountant - Reconciliations is responsible for:
1. Preparing reconciliations of assigned balance sheet accounts each period for assigned retails.
2. Completing audits of reconciliations completed by the Accounting Technicians.
3. Completion of year end working papers for assigned retails.  Assisting with the review of year end files for all retails.
4. Providing assistance to retails and the Accounting Technicians in resolving problems related to accounting procedures and the use of on-line accounting systems as they relate to the reconciliation department.
5. Providing coverage of the Accounting Technician desk when assigned.
6. Other duties as assigned.  These duties may include working in the Gross Margin or Financial Statement areas when deemed necessary by the Retail Accounting Manager.

To qualify for this position, applicants must possess:

1. Accounting diploma from a recognized Post Secondary Institution plus a minimum of three (3) years related accounting experience or,
2. University degree in Commerce with an accounting major or a professional accounting designation.
